On Sunday, July 19, the Church commemorated the Holy Fathers of the First Six Ecumenical Councils — the saints who defended and transmitted to us the Apostolic faith. Fittingly, on this same day, we rejoiced as Jesse was received into that same faith through the mystery of Chrismation! Sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit, Jesse now stands in the Church of the Ecumenical Councils. Congratulations, and welcome home! “One Lord, one faith, one baptism.” (Ephesians 4:5)
Following the beautiful Divine Liturgy, Coffee Hour went into extra time! After a fantastic lunch, parishioners stayed to watch the World Cup Final together. Moments like these remind us that fellowship extends well beyond Sunday morning.
