On Sunday, July 8, we were honored to welcome His Grace, Bishop Gideon of Makarov, vicar bishop of the Kyiv metropolitanate, who presided at the Divine Liturgy. We also were happy to have Protodeacon Anthony, who is accompanying His Grace, with us. His Eminence, Archbishop Benjamin led the clergy and faithful of the Diocese of the West in the annual (since 1925) pilgrimage to Fort Ross on the 4th of July. On the great night of Pascha, the celebration of the Resurrection of the Lord, the clergy and faithful of Holy Trinity Cathedral celebrate the Nocturnes, Procession, Matins, and Divine Liturgy. On the eve, Holy Saturday, they sang the Vesperal Liturgy. On Sunday afternoon, we continued the celebration with Paschal Vespers.

On Sunday, January 21, the clergy and faithful of Holy Trinity Cathedral gathered with our Archbishop Benjamin to honor Archpriest John Takahashi, Dean of Holy Trinity Cathedral. Father John is retiring (or, as he would prefer to say, graduating) after almost twelve years of pastoral service with us at the Cathedral.
