Opportunities for Fellowship and Study

As a community, we are planning to be intentional about our need for fellowship and growth as individuals and as a community as we return from vacations and begin a new Church year.  Let’s meet up to study, pray, and be with each other more often!  Come when you can and share your ideas for future activities.

Wednesday Feb 8 - 6 pm Vespers, potluck and movie.  Connect with this event on Facebook.

Wednesday Feb 15 - We will pray the short daily vesper service and then continue our study group discussions on Liturgy and Life led by Archdeacon Kirill Sokolov, Ed.D.  Vespers begins at 6 but arrive when your commute allows!

Thursday Feb 16 - we will gather for a pre-advent informal social (downtown). Details on our Facebook or Meetup page or talk with Archdeacon Kirill or Austin Gunter for more information.

Saturday Feb 18 - Pre-Lenten Retreat with guest speaker Fr. Michael Oleksa: “The Three Embodiments of the Word of God."  Father Michael continues on themes he introduced at our Fall 2017 Advent retreat.  The Divine Liturgy for Memorial Saturday begins at 9:00. Breakfast will be served at 10. The first talk starts at 10:30 AM. Lunch is included and the second talk will conclude with prayer at 2:30.  Father Michael uses the power of gripping stories to help us better understand the mystery of language and communication itself, and how our relationship with God, with each other, and with the world around us (the environment!) depends on the meaning of words.  No cost to attend (donations welcome). Holy Trinity Cathedral, 1520 Green at Van Ness Avenue. Connect with this event on Facebook.

We hope you can come!
